Sometimes it can be hard to get motivated.
I’ve never had a problem getting myself to the gym but have often found it hard to find the motivation to work to reach my goals. Training Crossfit requires it’s athletes to be diverse. To work towards mastering the 10 components of fitness.
Accuracy
Endurance
Strength
Coordination
Balance
Power
Speed
Stamina
Flexibility
Agility
But it’s not easy to work on all these aspects at once.. Consistent training, adequate nutrition and good holistic care of our bodies can be hard to manage in today’s hussle and bussle of life.
So looking ahead, I decided to tie my goals of being a well rounded athlete to one of the most anticipated trips of my life.
My Hawaiian fitness retreat with WODventures travel company in September 2015.
The retreat includes 9 days of fitness coaching with 12 like minded athletes, workshops with Crossfit Games athlete dan Bailey, surf lessons with Pro Surfing legend Kai “Borg” Garcia and participating in The 10km Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run.
As a hopeless runner and a beginner-intermediate Crossfit athlete – I am not in the shape I wanted to be. I suck.
But I am determined to Be Better.
